Navigate project risks, optimize delivery methods, and master the art of the single-contract approach.

This six-hour course explores the design-build project delivery system, focusing on its evolution, advantages, and implementation in contemporary construction practices. The course also addresses project selection, feasibility, contracting, design, construction, and project closeout procedures.
The course provides an in-depth look at how combining design and construction phases under a single, unified contract fundamentally transforms the project lifecycle. It examines the core principles of single-source responsibility, collaborative problem-solving, and integrated team dynamics. By contrasting Design-Build with traditional delivery models, the course highlights the mechanics of accelerated schedules, enhanced cost control, and streamlined risk management.
Through a detailed overview of the process—from initial planning and procurement to execution and final closeout—this course illuminates how an integrated approach fosters seamless communication among stakeholders and drives successful outcomes in modern construction and infrastructure projects.
